Twenty-one Italian films in the running for Oscar consideration
The world of Italian cinema is looking toward Los Angeles with great attention. The titles of the twenty-one national films aspiring to represent Italy in the "Best International Feature Film" category at the next edition of the Oscars have been announced.
The list of candidates is very diverse and includes works by established directors and new talents. Among the most anticipated titles is the latest work by Nanni Moretti, a director already awarded at the Cannes Film Festival, who confirms his status as one of the protagonists of the Italian cinematic scene.
