The Forza Italia youth group in Sassari has launched a strong appeal regarding the condition of the ancient Roman aqueduct located in the area. According to representatives of the movement, the monument is currently in a serious state of neglect, which puts the preservation of this important historical landmark of the territory at risk.
The structure, which dates back to the imperial era, represents a fundamental piece of Sardinian cultural heritage. However, reports indicate the presence of invasive vegetation, accumulations of waste, and clear signs of structural deterioration that, over time, could cause irreversible damage to the ancient masonry.
The young political representatives have requested immediate intervention from local authorities and the Superintendency. The goal is to initiate a cleaning and securing plan for the area as soon as possible, thereby allowing the site to be enhanced and made accessible and usable once again for citizens and tourists.
