"The Suspended Backpack" returns: the solidarity initiative to support students in difficulty
In view of the start of the new school year, the Lions Club of Lamezia Terme has officially launched the "Suspended Backpack" initiative. It is a solidarity project designed to help families who find themselves in a situation of economic hardship, ensuring that all children have the necessary tools to study.
The way the initiative works is simple and is inspired by the tradition of the "suspended coffee." Citizens can go to stationery stores participating in the project and purchase school supplies, such as notebooks, pens, pencil cases, or books, leaving them available for those who need them most. Volunteers from the Lions Club will subsequently take care of collecting and distributing the materials to the selected families.
The main goal of the project is to promote the right to education and social inclusion. The organizers emphasize that, in a time of economic crisis, it is essential that no student should have to give up their education due to a lack of resources. The participation of the local community is considered essential for the success of this collection.
The initiative represents not only concrete help, but also a gesture of great civic value. Thanks to the generosity of donors, many children will be able to start school with a full backpack and greater peace of mind. The Lions Club invites all citizens to contribute, even with a small purchase, to support the future of the young students in the area.
