Sky Italia presents what's new for 2026: between major returns and new TV series
Sky Italia has officially presented its schedules for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. The famous television platform has announced many updates and confirmations that will interest millions of viewers in Italy. The main objective is to offer a mix of classic entertainment and new original productions to satisfy an increasingly vast audience.
Among the most anticipated confirmations are the major hits that the Italian public already knows and loves. Long-running programs such as Masterchef, X Factor, and Pechino Express will continue to be part of the main programming. Gialappa's Show, which has recently achieved excellent results, will also return to entertain viewers with its signature irony.
As for the new additions, the world of cooking remains the absolute protagonist. Chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo, a symbolic face of Sky, will lead a new program titled "Taste of Italy," a journey to discover the flavors of our country. Another interesting proposal is "Grandmothers in the Kitchen," a format that focuses on Italian culinary tradition as told by the most experienced generations.
Another big surprise concerns the TV series sector. Sky will produce its first "medical drama," a much-loved genre but one never before explored by the platform with an original production. The protagonist of this new series will be actor Lino Guanciale, one of the most popular and appreciated faces of Italian television.
With these choices, Sky Italia demonstrates its desire to maintain its position as a leader in the entertainment sector. By focusing on famous personalities and new creative formats, the network seeks to respond to the tastes of a demanding audience, combining high-quality visuals with stories capable of moving people.
