President Mattarella: school must be a place open to everyone
The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, recently reiterated the fundamental importance of school as a pillar of Italian society. During a public address, the Head of State emphasized that education must remain an inclusive environment, capable of welcoming every student without any distinction.
The President's main reference is Article 34 of the Italian Constitution, which establishes the right to education for all citizens. According to Mattarella, this principle is not just a legal norm, but a moral commitment that the country must keep alive to ensure equal opportunities for new generations.
Mattarella's message focused in particular on the risk of creating divisions within the educational system. The President urged institutions and teachers to work together to avoid the formation of "ghettos" or the raising of barriers, which could limit the social and cultural growth of students.
The goal, according to the Head of State, is to build a school that knows how to integrate differences, transforming them into a resource for the entire community. In a time of great change, school therefore remains the privileged place where the democratic future of the country is built.
