Two sisters aged 12 and 16 disappear from a group home in Abruzzo
In Abruzzo, there is great concern over the disappearance of two sisters, Sarah and Alysia Di Giacinto. The girls, who are 12 and 16 years old respectively, have been missing since June 7. They were residents of a group home in Civitella Alfedena, a small town in the province of L'Aquila.
The two sisters had been living at the "Ofh Hope" educational community for about two years. This facility is dedicated to welcoming and protecting minors in difficult situations. According to initial reconstructions, the girls left the community and have not contacted the facility managers or their family since then.
The young girls' father is very worried and has launched a public appeal to find them. The man maintains that his daughters could not have run away on foot by themselves, considering the isolated location of the facility in the mountains. This detail suggests that someone might have helped them or that they might have used a means of transport to leave quickly.
Law enforcement immediately began searching the entire area. The Carabinieri are checking main roads, train stations, and surveillance camera footage to find useful clues. Social media has also been used to circulate photos of the two sisters, in the hope that someone will recognize them and provide information.
At the moment, authorities are not ruling out any hypothesis and continue to work intensely on the case. The local community and the family are anxiously awaiting positive news. Anyone with useful information is invited to contact the police immediately to help bring Sarah and Alysia home.
