Fuel prices: petrol and diesel exceed the 2 euro per liter threshold
The cost of fuel in Italy continues to rise, creating significant concern for citizens and those who travel daily. In the last few hours, the prices of petrol and diesel have exceeded the psychological threshold of 2 euros per liter, reaching peaks that weigh heavily on household budgets.
According to the latest data, petrol has reached 2.008 euros per liter, while diesel has reached 2.128 euros. These increases are particularly evident along the Italian motorway network, where the average price for self-service is currently around 2.087 euros per liter.
The situation is being monitored closely, as the rise in fuel prices also has a direct effect on the cost of transporting goods and, consequently, on the prices of consumer goods in supermarkets. Italian motorists are therefore finding themselves facing increasingly high expenses for their travel.
Consumer associations are calling for interventions to limit the impact of these increases, while the government is observing the trends in the international oil market. For the moment, those who need to travel are advised to compare prices between different petrol stations to find the most affordable options.
