Once again, the prestige of these awards has confirmed their central role in the progress of human knowledge.
Among the most curious moments of this edition, the reactions of the winners at the time of the official phone call stand out. Many scientists recounted learning the news in everyday situations, far from their laboratories. Some of them were actually in Italy for study or vacation, turning a moment of relaxation into an unforgettable event that has linked our country to the history of this prize.
The testimonies collected show how, behind every great discovery, there are years of constant work and sacrifice. The winners emphasized the importance of international collaboration and intellectual curiosity, inviting new generations to never stop asking questions about the world around us. Their message is an encouragement to invest more and more in scientific research.
The awards ceremony, which will be held as per tradition in Stockholm, will be an opportunity to officially celebrate these achievements. For Italy, the presence of scholars who have chosen our territory as a place of inspiration or work represents a source of pride and confirms the value of Italian academic institutions on the global stage.
In conclusion, the 2026 Nobels do not represent just an individual success, but a collective milestone for the entire scientific and cultural community. As the winners prepare to receive their medals, the world is already looking to the future, hoping that these discoveries can contribute to solving the most urgent challenges of our time.
