Tragedy in Rome: sixteen-year-old attacks mother, woman dies in hospital
A serious episode of domestic violence has shaken the city of Rome in the last few hours. A 16-year-old boy violently attacked his mother inside their home, causing her very serious injuries that proved fatal.
After carrying out the attack, it was the young man himself who called for help via the 112 emergency number. Despite the timely intervention of medical personnel and the emergency transport to the hospital, there was nothing that could be done for the woman: she passed away shortly after admission due to the severity of the injuries sustained.
Currently, the boy is hospitalized at the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome. The competent authorities have launched an investigation to reconstruct the exact sequence of events and understand the motives that led to this dramatic act.
The incident has left the entire local community in shock. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and family members to clarify the context in which the violence developed, while the young man remains under medical observation and at the disposal of investigators.
