“Italy. Land of Wonders”: the video game promoting Italian heritage to the world
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has launched an innovative initiative to raise awareness of our country's beauty: the video game “Italy. Land of Wonders.” Available for smartphones and tablets, this digital project is designed for an international audience, with the goal of helping people discover Italian culture, art, and landscapes in an interactive and fun way.
The game's protagonist is Elio, a friendly lighthouse keeper who guides the player through a magical journey across Italy. During the adventure, users must explore five different thematic areas that represent the excellence of the territory: nature, cuisine, art, music, and design. Each level offers challenges and interesting facts that allow players to learn historical and cultural information while they play.
The video game is not just a tool for entertainment, but a true strategy for promoting “Made in Italy.” Through polished graphics and an engaging narrative, the Ministry aims to reach new generations, offering an educational experience that highlights artistic heritage and local traditions, which are often little-known outside national borders.
The application is free and available in several languages, making the content accessible to millions of people around the world. Thanks to this initiative, Italy confirms its commitment to using new digital technologies to strengthen its global image and stimulate interest in cultural tourism in our country.
In conclusion, “Italy. Land of Wonders” represents a modern bridge between Italy's millennia-old tradition and the digital future. It is an invitation to everyone, young and old, to explore the wonders of the Bel Paese directly from their own device, promoting a deeper and more dynamic understanding of Italian identity.
