Coldiretti and Philip Morris: roadshow dedicated to the future of tobacco kicks off in Perugia
The regional roadshow titled “15 years in the territories, looking to the future” has officially begun in Perugia. The initiative, organized in collaboration between Coldiretti and Philip Morris Italia, aims to take stock of the tobacco supply chain in our country and the growth prospects for the sector.
The event in Perugia represents the first stage of a journey that will touch various Italian areas. The main objective is to analyze the economic and social impact of tobacco cultivation, a sector that involves thousands of farms and workers throughout the peninsula.
During the meetings, representatives of Coldiretti and Philip Morris will discuss the importance of technological innovation and environmental sustainability in cultivation. The project aims to highlight how collaboration between the agricultural world and large companies can foster local economic development and ensure greater stability for Italian producers.
This roadshow also aims to celebrate the fifteen years of partnership between the two entities. Through direct dialogue with farmers and local institutions, the initiative intends to gather suggestions and ideas to face future market challenges, focusing increasingly on the quality of the Italian product.
The tour will continue in other Italian cities over the coming months, continuing to promote dialogue between the key players in the supply chain. Attention remains high on how the sector can evolve to meet new consumer needs and European regulations, while maintaining the agricultural tradition that characterizes many regions of our territory.
