Amazon in Italy: over 30 billion euros invested since 2010
Amazon has recently announced a major milestone for its operations in Italy. According to statements by Stefano Busnelli, head of operations, the company has invested over 30 billion euros in the country since 2010. This economic commitment has had a significant impact on the national economy and the labor market.
Thanks to these investments, the e-commerce giant has contributed to the creation of 19,000 permanent jobs across various Italian regions. Amazon's presence has been consolidated through the construction of numerous logistics centers and offices, which have allowed for the improvement of the product distribution network throughout the territory.
In addition to direct employment, the company has paid particular attention to the local entrepreneurial fabric. Amazon has indeed stated that it actively supports approximately 20,000 small and medium-sized Italian enterprises, offering them technological and logistical tools to sell their products not only in Italy but also in international markets.
These figures highlight the growing role of large digital platforms in the Italian economy. Amazon's stated goal for the coming years remains to continue investing in infrastructure development and the digitalization of businesses, further strengthening its bond with the Italian market.
