Fuel prices: petrol and diesel exceed the 2-euro threshold on motorways

Specifically, the price of petrol in self-service mode has reached an average of 2.010 euros per litre. The situation appears even more complex regarding diesel, the average cost of which stands at 2.130 euros per litre, reaching maximum peaks of 2.203 euros per litre on some motorway stretches.
These increases weigh directly on the pockets of Italian motorists and families who use their cars for daily commutes or business trips. The transport sector, in particular, is closely monitoring price trends, fearing that the price hikes could also influence the final cost of other consumer goods.
Consumer associations continue to monitor the situation, calling for greater transparency regarding the prices charged along the country's main arteries.
