Reclamation Consortium: tariffs on the rise to protect the territory
The Reclamation Consortium has announced a new tariff increase for citizens. Starting in the coming months, bills will grow by 3%. This decision was made to cover the increasingly high costs of managing and caring for the local water system, a fundamental element for the safety of the area.
According to the president of the Consortium, Franco Gatti, the increase became necessary due to higher ordinary maintenance costs. In fact, during this period, cleaning work on the "rogge"—the small water channels that cross the plain—is being completed. These interventions are essential to ensure that water flows correctly and does not cause problems for farmers and residents.
An important part of the new funds will be used for the construction of 15 laminating basins. These structures are fundamental for the safety of the territory, as they serve to collect excess water during heavy rains. In this way, floods and inundations that could damage homes and productive activities in inhabited areas can be avoided.
President Gatti explained that the territory must actively contribute to these expenses. Maintaining the water system is not just a technical service, but a form of protection for the entire community. Without these constant investments, the risk of serious environmental and structural damage would be much higher for all citizens.
In conclusion, although the 3% increase represents an additional cost for families, the main objective remains prevention. Thanks to these maintenance works and the construction of new infrastructure, the Consortium aims to make the territory safer and better prepared to face climate change and the meteorological emergencies of the future.
