Italy divided between extreme heat and bad weather alerts

Italy is experiencing a summer marked by very sharp meteorological contrasts. While much of the country continues to suffer from record temperatures, some northern regions are preparing to face the arrival of violent thunderstorms. The climatic situation remains complex and requires great attention from citizens.

The heat shows no signs of abating, with thermal values in some areas reaching levels never seen before. In Gorizia, for the first time in history, the temperature exceeded 40 degrees, a figure that confirms the intensity of the heatwave. The situation is also critical in the South: in Naples, for example, the thermometer touched 48 degrees, causing significant hardship for the population.

Despite the extreme heat, the number of Italian cities with a "red dot" for heatwaves has dropped to 19 today. This slight improvement, however, is accompanied by a new risk: bad weather. Experts are in fact predicting the arrival of heavy rain and thunderstorms that will affect eight Italian regions.

A yellow alert has been issued for these areas, the level of attention that indicates the possibility of adverse weather phenomena. Authorities are urging citizens to exercise maximum caution, especially when traveling, and to constantly follow updates from the Civil Protection Department.

According to weather forecasts, the extreme heatwave will not end soon. Experts announce that temperatures will remain very high for at least another ten days. Italy will therefore have to continue managing this phase of climatic instability, balancing protection from the sun with preparation for sudden thunderstorms.
