Italy and Greece: Ministers Meet in Athens to Strengthen Education
The Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, concluded his institutional mission to Athens today. During the visit, the minister met with his Greek counterpart, Sophia Zacharaki, to discuss important issues related to the world of schooling and vocational training.
The main objective of the meeting was to consolidate collaboration between Italy and Greece in the education sector. The two ministers exchanged ideas on how to improve national school systems, focusing on higher teaching quality and more modern curricula that are closer to the needs of young people.
During the talks, Valditara emphasized the importance of valuing student merit and investing in technical skills. Cooperation between the two Mediterranean countries is considered fundamental for addressing common European Union challenges, such as the fight against early school leaving and the integration of new technologies in classrooms.
The mission concluded with a positive outcome and the promise of future joint projects. This dialogue between Rome and Athens represents a step forward in offering young Italian and Greek students better opportunities for growth in an increasingly global and competitive labor market.
