New agreement between Italy and Thailand: 30,000 workers per year on the way
The Italian government has announced a new initiative to manage labor shortages in several key sectors of the country. The agreement provides for the entry into Italy of approximately 30,000 Thai workers each year, with the goal of supporting local businesses and responding to the needs of the national labor market.
This collaboration focuses primarily on three fundamental areas: agriculture, healthcare, and the service sector. These sectors, which have long reported difficulties in finding qualified personnel, will be able to benefit from the arrival of new professional resources from Thailand.
The initiative aims to facilitate the integration of foreign workers into the Italian economic fabric, while simultaneously ensuring greater stability for companies operating in these sectors. The authorities emphasized that the entry of workers will take place in compliance with current regulations, following regulated procedures to ensure transparency and security.
With this measure, Italy seeks to address the challenge of staff shortages in a concrete way, focusing on targeted international cooperation. It is expected that the first flows of workers will begin to arrive in the coming months, offering immediate support to production activities and essential services for Italian citizens.
