Italy assumes the presidency of the Tallinn Mechanism for cybersecurity
Italy has officially assumed the rotating presidency of the Tallinn Mechanism, an important international initiative dedicated to cybersecurity. Our country will lead this body until December 2026, taking on a central role in the coordination of digital strategies at a global level.
The Tallinn Mechanism is a working group created to support Ukraine in its defense against cyberattacks. Its primary objective is to strengthen the resilience of digital infrastructure and protect essential services from external threats that affect national and international security.
During its mandate, Italy will be tasked with coordinating the efforts of member countries to improve technological cooperation. This commitment focuses on information sharing, the training of experts, and the technical assistance necessary to counter malicious activities in cyberspace.
