Florence hosts 'The Itinerant Whale': art joins forces with marine protection
From October 9 to November 8, 2026, the city of Florence becomes the stage for an important cultural and environmental event. The exhibition titled 'The Itinerant Whale' opens its doors to the public, offering a unique opportunity to reflect on the health of our oceans through the language of art.
The initiative was born with the goal of raising awareness among citizens and tourists about the importance of protecting the marine environment. Through artistic installations and exhibition paths, the project aims to help people understand how fundamental it is to protect biodiversity and reduce pollution caused by plastic.
Florence, known throughout the world for its immense historical and artistic heritage, thus confirms its commitment to contemporary issues. The choice to host this exhibition demonstrates how culture can become an effective tool for promoting more sustainable and nature-respecting behaviors.
The exhibition will be open for about a month, allowing a vast audience to discover the deep bond between humans and the sea. The organizers hope that this event will inspire visitors to make more conscious daily choices to preserve the planet for future generations.
