Bergamo at the forefront: the first 100% electric buses in Italy arrive
The city of Bergamo is taking an important step towards sustainable mobility, becoming the first in Italy to introduce a fleet of fully electric buses. The project aims to improve urban air quality and reduce noise pollution in the city center.
The new fleet consists of 15 articulated buses, designed to offer an efficient and modern service. Each vehicle has a transport capacity of up to 120 passengers, allowing for the management of a high number of users during peak hours, while simultaneously ensuring a more comfortable and quieter journey.
In addition to the new vehicles, the renewal plan includes the installation of hi-tech shelters at bus stops. These innovative structures will be equipped with advanced technologies to provide real-time information to passengers, making the wait simpler and more organized for those who use public transport daily.
The initiative represents a model of innovation for local public transport in our country. With this investment, Bergamo aims to radically transform the way citizens get around, promoting a more ecological and technological lifestyle for the entire community.
