Heatwave in Italy: red alert triggered in several cities
Italy is currently facing a strong heatwave that is affecting a large part of the national territory. The high temperatures have prompted the Ministry of Health to issue a weather alert to protect the population, particularly the most vulnerable such as the elderly and children.
Currently, there are four Italian cities under the so-called "red stamp," the maximum alert level provided by the monitoring system. These are Florence, Perugia, Brescia, and Turin, where climatic conditions are considered dangerous to health due to very high temperatures and humidity.
The situation is set to worsen in the coming hours. According to weather forecasts, starting Wednesday, the number of cities under the red stamp will rise to seven. Bologna will be added to those already mentioned, along with other urban centers that will see a further increase in the thermometer.
Health authorities recommend that citizens adopt cautious behavior during the hottest hours of the day. It is advised to avoid going outdoors between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM, drink plenty of water, eat light meals, and keep home environments cool.
The situation is being constantly monitored by the Civil Protection and weather experts. The population is invited to follow official updates and pay attention to local bulletins to stay informed about the evolution of the weather in the coming days.
