The rapid response unit dismantles another unlicensed beauty clinic in Vienna
Another illegal beauty clinic was seized in downtown Vienna on Friday, becoming the ninth unlicensed facility closed by the rapid response unit in cooperation with local police and city departments.
The clinic, located at a prominent address in the city center, offered medical cosmetic treatments without having a suitably qualified staff, posing a significant risk to clients. These measures were part of a targeted campaign against illegal cosmetic businesses in the city.
During the raid, a woman disguised as a client entered the salon and requested a cosmetic treatment. The police confiscated a variety of products, including Botox and fillers, as well as the equipment used in cosmetic procedures.
A suspect present at the scene was arrested, where she immediately confessed to running the illegal clinic and was taken into custody for further investigation by the Finnish police. Investigators emphasized the risks posed by unlicensed cosmetic practices to public safety.
Walter Hellerer, head of the rapid response unit, emphasized the importance of these measures: "In Vienna, where the safety of residents is a top priority, we continue to close illegal clinics and ensure that residents can trust that treatments are legal and safe."
