Taxi app 'GO' and 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' begin functional integration
GO, a taxi dispatch app provider, has announced the start of a functional integration with 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME,' a tourism information service for international visitors to Japan. This integration will allow users to call a taxi directly from the travel app.
'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' is an app that provides transportation route searches and tourist spot information for foreign tourists visiting Japan. While its primary function was previously limited to searching for routes to a destination, users will now be able to arrange a taxi directly from the search results.
The taxis available through this integration are vehicles from the 47 prefectures nationwide that are affiliated with 'GO.' Tourists will no longer need to search for taxi companies in unfamiliar areas, allowing them to secure transportation smoothly from the app screen.
This initiative aims to improve the convenience of travel within tourist destinations across Japan. It is expected that further efforts will continue to be made to create an environment where tourists can travel more comfortably throughout Japan.
