A Chance to Run at the National Stadium! "ALTRA EKIDEN 2026" to be Held on November 15
Great news for those who enjoy sports: on November 15, 2026, an ekiden relay race called "ALTRA EKIDEN 2026" will be held at the Japan National Stadium in Tokyo. This event is a rare opportunity for everyday runners to run on the same track where professional athletes usually compete.
The tournament will be held in an ekiden relay format, where participants form teams with their friends. Unlike a marathon where you run alone, passing the sash (tasuki) to your teammates allows you to experience a greater sense of unity and accomplishment. The event is designed to be enjoyed by runners of all levels, from beginners to advanced athletes.
The venue, the Japan National Stadium, is known as the main stadium for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Running on such a historic and grand stage will surely be a special memory for many runners. The atmosphere around the venue and the excellent facilities unique to the stadium are also part of the appeal.
You can check the official website for information on how to register for the race and for detailed rules. Since this is expected to be a popular event, it is recommended that those interested check the information early.
Why not run at the National Stadium with your friends, family, or colleagues during the pleasant autumn season? We invite you to spend a healthy day through sports and experience the joy of working together as a team to reach the finish line.
