"HSBC Business Case Competition" Japan Qualifiers Held at Waseda University
The Japan qualifiers for the "HSBC Business Case Competition," where university students compete in their ability to solve business challenges, were held at Waseda University. This competition is organized by HSBC, a world-renowned financial group, and this marks the second consecutive year that the qualifiers have been held at Waseda University.
In this competition, students work in teams to propose solutions to difficult problems similar to those encountered in real business scenarios. Participating students are required to demonstrate logical thinking, presentation skills, and high proficiency in English. It has become one of the most important competitions for students aspiring to be future business leaders.
For this year's Japan qualifiers, outstanding students selected from various universities across the country gathered. Within a limited timeframe, the students analyzed complex case studies and presented their ideas in English before a panel of judges. The judges, who are business experts, rigorously evaluated the feasibility and creativity of the proposals.
The team that wins the Japan qualifiers earns the right to compete in the global competition. At the global competition, representative teams that have won their respective national qualifiers gather to compete at an even higher level. International events like this provide valuable experiences for Japanese students to gain a global perspective.
Waseda University plans to continue actively supporting such international educational events in the future. For the participating students, this competition served as an excellent opportunity to test their skills and find inspiration through interaction with students from other universities.
