Taxi app 'GO' and 'NAVITIME' partner to make travel easier for visitors to Japan
The popular Japanese taxi-hailing app 'GO' and the travel app for international visitors 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' have launched a new partnership. This will make it easier for foreigners visiting Japan to call a taxi.
'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' is an app that supports everything from planning to booking trips in Japan, and it is used by over 2 million international visitors every month. With this partnership, users can now request a taxi directly from the map and route search screens within the app.
Previously, many tourists hesitated to use taxis due to language barriers or a lack of familiarity with the area. However, with this new feature, they can now arrange a taxi smoothly while checking the route to their destination.
According to the Japan National Tourism Organization, the number of foreign visitors to Japan is increasing, and improving the convenience of transportation has become a key challenge. The launch of this service will be a significant help in making it more comfortable for tourists to travel within Japan.
Moving forward, the trend of using technology to improve the tourism environment in Japan is expected to expand. It is hoped that Japan will become an even more accessible and travel-friendly country for visitors.
