Taxi app 'GO' and 'NAVITIME' partner to make travel easier for inbound tourists
GO Inc., operator of the taxi dispatch app 'GO', and major navigation service provider NAVITIME Japan announced on July 8 that they will be integrating their services. This partnership is expected to make travel within Japan smoother for international tourists.
Specifically, it will now be possible to dispatch a taxi directly within 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME,' the navigation app provided by NAVITIME Japan for inbound tourists. Users will be able to call a taxi while searching for routes to their destinations, significantly reducing the hassle of getting around.
In recent years, the number of foreign tourists visiting Japan has surged, leading to challenges such as congestion on public transportation and difficulties in securing transport to destinations. This new feature is expected to be an extremely convenient service for tourists who may feel anxious due to language barriers or a lack of familiarity with the area.
