McDonald's Launches "Local" Burgers: Flavors of Hokkaido, Nagoya, and Hakata Arrive
McDonald's Japan is launching new limited-time burgers themed after famous flavors from across Japan. This series is inspired by "local gourmet" specialties, allowing customers to enjoy the tastes of three regions—Hokkaido, Nagoya, and Hakata—at stores nationwide.
First is the "Hokkaido Jaga Cheese Teriyaki," themed after the flavors of Hokkaido. This burger combines the popular Teriyaki Burger with a potato filling made from Hokkaido-grown potatoes and cheddar cheese. It is a hearty option characterized by the fluffy texture of the potatoes.
Next is the "Nagoya Specialty Tebasaki-style Black Pepper Juicy Chicken," inspired by Nagoya's famous chicken wings. A spicy sauce with a strong black pepper kick pairs perfectly with the juicy chicken patty, offering the bold and stimulating flavor typical of Nagoya.
Finally, from Hakata in Fukuoka Prefecture comes the "Hakata Mentai Teriyaki Chicken." It features a "Mentai Butter Sauce" that combines Hakata's specialty mentaiko (spicy cod roe) with butter. This creates a new taste experience by combining the spicy kick of mentaiko with the sweetness of teriyaki sauce.
These products will be available at McDonald's locations across the country. They are garnering significant attention as they allow people to easily enjoy famous regional flavors without having to travel. As these are available for a limited time only, be sure to check them out soon if you are interested.
