Taiwan's TPP marks 7th anniversary, emphasizes cooperation with KMT for November elections
Taiwan's third-largest opposition party, the Taiwan People's Party (TPP), celebrated its 7th anniversary this month. To commemorate the occasion, a party congress and anniversary event were held in Taichung City in central Taiwan on the 2nd. Many party members gathered at the venue to discuss the party's future operational policies.
Huang Kuo-chang, who currently leads the TPP, spoke about the party's key future strategies during the congress. Of particular note is the mayoral and magistrate election scheduled for November 28. Chairman Huang revealed his intention to work closely with the largest opposition party, the Kuomintang (KMT), to secure victory in this election.
In Taiwanese politics, cooperation between the TPP and the KMT represents a significant move to counter the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). Many media outlets and experts are paying close attention to this decision, as it has the potential to influence the future landscape of local politics in Taiwan.
The TPP plans to proceed with concrete preparations for the election while deepening its collaboration with the KMT. The results of the November election will serve as a key indicator for the future of Taiwan's political administration.
