Taxi Use Becomes More Convenient for Tourists Visiting Japan as Navitime and "GO" Launch App Integration
Traveling by taxi is becoming even more convenient for foreign tourists visiting Japan. Navitime Japan, a leading route search service provider, has launched an integration with the taxi dispatch app "GO." This allows users to do everything from calling a taxi to making payments within a dedicated app for international visitors.
Through this partnership, users of the "Japan Travel by NAVITIME" app can now arrange a taxi immediately after searching for a route to their destination. There is no need to launch a separate app, allowing for smooth travel preparations within a single application.
Measures have also been taken to address the "language barrier," which is often a source of anxiety for foreign tourists. Multilingual communication is available within the app, enabling smooth messaging with drivers. This creates an environment where tourists who are not proficient in Japanese can use taxis without hesitation.
Currently, the number of foreign tourists visiting Japan continues to rise, making the securing of transportation at tourist destinations a major challenge. Taxis are an essential means of transport, especially for travelers with heavy luggage or those visiting areas with limited public transportation.
This new service is expected to not only enhance convenience for tourists but also contribute to improving services across Japan's entire tourism industry. Such initiatives utilizing digital technology will likely continue to play a vital role in supporting Japanese tourism in the future.
