Taxi app 'GO' and 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' begin collaboration
The taxi dispatch app 'GO' and the navigation app for international tourists visiting Japan, 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME,' have begun a collaboration. Through this partnership, foreign visitors to Japan will be able to use taxis more smoothly.
'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' is an app that provides search functions for tourist routes and guidance on transportation methods within Japan. While users were previously able to look up routes to their destinations, they will now be able to call 'GO' directly within the app to dispatch a taxi.
This initiative offers significant benefits for international tourists who wish to use taxis in Japan. Even amidst concerns regarding language barriers or payment methods, the ability to call a taxi directly from a navigation app they are already familiar with is expected to significantly improve the convenience of travel.
The Japanese government is actively promoting the acceptance of inbound tourists, and securing transportation at tourist destinations has been a challenge. This app integration can be considered an important step toward enabling tourists to travel more comfortably within Japan.
It is expected that services utilizing digital technology to enhance convenience for international tourists will continue to increase. Companies will likely continue to advance efforts to create an environment where travelers can enjoy Japan with peace of mind.
