Large-scale 'Han Kuang 42' military exercises begin in Taiwan
On the 5th, Taiwan's military began the live-fire portion of its annual large-scale military exercise, 'Han Kuang 42.' The exercises are scheduled to take place over a 10-day period, ending on the 14th.
On the first day of the exercises, training was conducted based on a scenario in which enemy forces approach Taiwan using militia vessels and coast guard ships. This reflects the changes in the security environment surrounding Taiwan in recent years.
During these exercises, various drills will be carried out across Taiwan, simulating situations close to actual combat. The military intends to concretely verify how it will respond to an enemy invasion and defend the island.
Taiwan's defense system is extremely important to Japan from the perspective of regional stability. The Japanese government and experts are also closely monitoring the progress of these exercises.
The exercises will continue until the 14th. Through this training, the Taiwanese military aims to enhance its readiness and maintain peace and stability in the region.
