Support for Cyberattack Countermeasures in Medical Institutions: "Security Family Doctor" List Released
Health ISAC Japan, an information-sharing organization in the medical field, announced on the 13th that it has released a list of "Security Family Doctor" services for medical institutions nationwide. This initiative aims to protect the safety of medical environments amid the rising risk of cyberattacks.
In recent years, cyberattacks such as ransomware targeting hospitals and clinics have been increasing globally, becoming a major issue within Japan as well. However, many medical institutions lack IT personnel with specialized knowledge and have struggled with not knowing what measures to take.
The list released this time compiles companies and experts capable of providing specialized support for the security measures of medical institutions. By utilizing this list, medical institutions can easily find consultants that match their specific circumstances.
Through this service, Health ISAC Japan intends to strengthen security systems in medical settings and support the creation of an environment that protects patients' personal information and vital medical data. Moving forward, the organization aims to promote safer medical DX by connecting experts with medical institutions.
