U-15 Japan National Baseball Team Arrives in Mexico, Holds First Practice for World Cup
The Japan national team, set to compete in the "RAXUS presents WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2026," has arrived in the host country of Mexico. After a grueling 26-hour journey, the players have officially begun their activities on-site.
Upon arrival, the team immediately held their first practice at the tournament venue. To acclimate to the local environment, the players moved their bodies while getting a feel for the condition of the field.
During practice, adapting to new bats was identified as a challenge. Because the bats have different characteristics from those used in Japan, the players are continuing to make adjustments to get used to the equipment ahead of the tournament.
Under the guidance of manager Tsuyoshi Omori and the coaching staff, the players are strengthening their team unity. Despite the unfamiliar overseas environment, they plan to continue their preparations to ensure they are in peak condition for their matches.
Moving forward, the Japan national team will further deepen their coordination through practice games and other activities. There are high expectations from back home in Japan for the success of these young Samurai as they aim to become the best in the world.
