Japanese Economic Delegation Led by Takeshi Iwaya Visits China, Aiming to Improve Relations
A delegation from the Japan Association for the Promotion of International Trade arrived in Beijing, China, on the 27th. The delegation is led by its chairman, former Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya. This visit aims to improve economic relations and deepen dialogue between Japan and China.
In recent years, political tensions have persisted between Japan and China due to various issues. However, cooperation in the economic sphere is vital for both nations. During this visit, Mr. Iwaya and his colleagues plan to exchange views with Chinese government officials and leaders in the business community.
The delegation is expected to discuss the improvement of the business environment and the expansion of trade through meetings with China's leadership. In particular, creating an environment that makes it easier for Japanese companies to operate in China is one of the key agenda items.
Japan and China are geographically close and share extremely strong economic ties. It is hoped that this visit will serve as a first step toward making the relationship between the two countries more stable. Attention is now focused on the future direction of dialogue between the two nations.
