Taxi app 'GO' and 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' begin collaboration
The taxi dispatch app 'GO' and the navigation app for international tourists visiting Japan, 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME,' have begun a collaboration. This initiative will allow international tourists visiting Japan to use taxis more smoothly.
Through this partnership, a taxi dispatch function will become available when searching for routes within the 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' app. When a taxi is selected as a means of transport to a destination, the system allows users to call a taxi directly through the 'GO' app.
In recent years, the number of international tourists visiting Japan has been increasing, and demand for taxis, in addition to public transportation, is rising. However, many tourists have felt uneasy about using taxis due to language barriers and a lack of familiarity with the area.
With this service integration, tourists will be able to arrange taxis directly from the navigation app they are already familiar with. This is expected to make travel within Japan more convenient and improve overall tourist satisfaction.
Moving forward, it is expected that services for inbound travelers utilizing digital technology will continue to expand. By making travel within Japan easier, it will become simpler for tourists to visit various locations across the country.
