Challenges of Sanitary Products in Emergency Shelters and the Importance of Femtech
For two weeks starting September 5th, Toshihide Noguchi, representative of Femtech Japan, will appear as a guest on the radio program "Let's Start! Femtech." In this broadcast, the improvement of conditions in emergency shelters during disasters will be discussed from a professional perspective.
Mr. Noguchi has previously engaged in support activities to deliver sanitary products to disaster-stricken areas and shelters. Through this experience, many issues have come to light, such as the hygiene and privacy problems that women face during life in evacuation centers.
In particular, the shortage of sanitary products in shelters and the lack of proper facilities to dispose of them cause significant stress for women. Mr. Noguchi will provide specific explanations on what kind of support and preparation are necessary to improve these situations.
This broadcast will be a good opportunity to rethink disaster preparedness. Considering the shelter environment from the perspective of femtech is crucial for creating a society where everyone can live with peace of mind. If you are interested, please be sure to check out the broadcast.
