Boehringer Ingelheim Japan and Hiroshima Prefecture Sign Agreement to Extend Healthy Life Expectancy
Pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim Japan has signed a "Cooperation Agreement on Extending Healthy Life Expectancy" with Hiroshima Prefecture. This agreement aims to create a society where residents can live healthy lives for longer.
The primary focus of this initiative is the prevention of and awareness-raising for chronic kidney disease (CKD). Because chronic kidney disease often progresses without noticeable symptoms, the spread of accurate knowledge for early detection and the prevention of severe cases is considered a priority.
Specifically, activities will be conducted to provide information about chronic kidney disease to residents and encourage them to undergo health checkups. Additionally, seminars and awareness campaigns are being planned to help people learn accurate knowledge regarding the prevention and treatment of the disease.
