Japan Men's Sevens National Team candidates hold joint training camp in Fukuoka
The Japan Rugby Football Union has announced that the Japan Men's Sevens national team candidates (SDS: Sevens Development Squad) held a training camp in Fukuoka Prefecture. This camp was conducted with the aim of strengthening the team and expanding the depth of the player pool.
Participating in this camp were the South Korean national sevens rugby team and the Osaka Prefectural Police rugby club, which represents Osaka Prefecture in the National Sports Festival. Through joint practice sessions with these different teams, the players were able to confirm practical techniques and coordination.
The participating players engaged in high-intensity practice menus, motivating each other as they trained. Particular emphasis was placed on confirming tactics for international matches and strengthening physical conditioning.
The Japan Rugby Football Union states that it will continue to actively conduct such joint practices and training camps to aim for an overall improvement in the level of the Japan national team. It is hoped that the experience gained during this camp will lead to success in future international tournaments.
