The U-21 Japan national soccer team held their final practice session on-site ahead of their opening match of the Asian Games against Hong Kong. Eighteen members, excluding those playing for overseas clubs, are participating in this training camp and are making final adjustments for the match.
There was a last-minute change to the team roster. Midfielder Makoto Himeno (Chiba) was forced to withdraw due to injury, and midfielder Tokuharu Seki (Kawasaki F) was called up as his replacement. Seki will wear the number 14 jersey for the tournament.
The players are aiming for victory against Hong Kong while confirming the coordination they have built during their domestic training camps. Despite the limited preparation time, the entire team is boosting morale and preparing to step onto the pitch for the first match in peak condition.
