Taxi app 'GO' and 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' launch service integration
The taxi dispatch app 'GO' and the navigation app for international tourists visiting Japan, 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME,' have launched a service integration. This partnership will enable foreign visitors to Japan to use taxis more smoothly.
'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' is an app that provides search functions for tourist routes and transit information within Japan. While users were previously able to look up routes to their destinations, this integration now allows them to call up the 'GO' taxi dispatch screen directly within the app.
With this system, users can save the trouble of switching between apps and easily call a taxi from their current location to their destination. It is expected that this will significantly improve the convenience of travel, especially for foreign tourists who may face language barriers or lack familiarity with the area.
According to the Japan National Tourism Organization, the number of international tourists visiting Japan is on an upward trend. Creating an environment where tourists can travel without stress is one of the important challenges for Japan's tourism industry.
This integration is attracting attention as an initiative that utilizes digital technology to enhance convenience for tourists. It is expected that as such collaborations between services continue to progress, stays in Japan will become even more comfortable.
