26th JAPAN Drugstore Show to be Held at Tokyo Big Sight in 2026
It has been announced that the "26th JAPAN Drugstore Show" will be held at Tokyo Big Sight for three days from July 31 to August 2, 2026. This event is one of Japan's largest exhibitions, bringing together the latest products and services useful for health, beauty, and daily life. It is organized by the Japan Association of Chain Drug Stores, with many companies participating.
In this announcement, the preliminary selection results for the "Food and Health Awards 2026," one of the event's highlights, were also released as a news flash. This award recognizes outstanding foods and supplements that support people's health. Products sold in drugstores that demonstrate exceptional health benefits and ease of use are selected from among those available.
Admission to the exhibition is free, and general visitors are welcome to enjoy it. At the venue, visitors can try samples of the latest cosmetics and health foods, and receive direct advice on health management from experts. Additionally, hands-on experience corners for families are planned, making it a place where a wide range of generations can learn about health.
Currently, Japan's population is aging, and interest in "self-medication"—taking care of one's own health—is increasing. Drugstores are expected to play a role not just as places to sell medicine, but as important hubs supporting regional health. This show is a valuable opportunity to learn about the latest initiatives and technologies in the field.
Detailed information will continue to be announced leading up to the 2026 event. For those interested in health and beauty, this is likely to be an unmissable event. It would be a good idea to check your schedule now in preparation for the summer opening.
