Japanese Companies Eye African Market: Business Co-Creation Seminar Held
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has held its first "Africa Business Co-Creation Seminar" for Japanese companies. This seminar was conducted as part of the activities for the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), an international conference aimed at deepening cooperative relations between Japan and Africa.
Currently, many Japanese companies are showing interest in Africa as a new market. At the seminar, the latest conditions in the African market and support systems available for companies entering the region were explained in detail. Success stories of companies already operating in Africa were also introduced.
Africa is a region where the population continues to grow and economic expansion is expected. However, for Japanese companies, there are still many unknowns, such as the local business environment and legal systems. This seminar served as a venue for companies to gain insights for developing concrete business plans.
Through this seminar, a support system is being put in place to help Japanese companies take their first steps into the African market. It is hoped that more business will be generated between Japan and Africa in the future.
