Large-scale Drone Attack in Moscow Suburbs Leaves Three Dead
A large-scale drone attack has occurred near the Russian capital, Moscow. The Governor of Moscow Oblast announced on social media that three people were killed in the attack, which took place around 3:00 a.m. local time on the 17th.
According to the governor's post, the drones appeared to target residential areas in the Moscow suburbs. The Russian government claims that these drones were launched from the Ukrainian side. Recently, drone attacks have been increasing within Russia, even in locations far from the border.
The attack caused damage, including the destruction of several buildings. Emergency services rushed to the scene to extinguish fires and assist residents. Additionally, to ensure safety, flight departures and arrivals at airports around Moscow were temporarily restricted.
As the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, attacks on major cities like the capital are becoming more frequent. This has led to growing anxiety among ordinary citizens. The Russian military explained that it used air defense systems to shoot down many of the drones, but it remains difficult to prevent damage entirely.
Investigations into the detailed extent of the damage are currently ongoing. The international community is closely monitoring the situation, with concerns that the attacks may intensify further. The world is watching to see what direction this war will take in the future.
