Evolution of Gaming Experience: New 240Hz-Compatible AR Glasses "ROG XREAL R1" Debuts
Pre-orders for the "ROG XREAL R1," a new pair of AR glasses co-developed by ASUS's gaming brand "Republic of Gamers (ROG)" and leading AR glasses manufacturer XREAL, began on June 15. This product is a device created to enhance the gaming experience using the latest technology.
The most significant feature of these AR glasses is their support for an extremely high refresh rate of 240Hz. The higher the refresh rate, the smoother the visual motion appears. This allows for comfortable, stress-free play of fast-paced action and sports games, which was previously difficult with conventional AR glasses.
In terms of design, the device adopts a stylish appearance characteristic of the ASUS "ROG" brand. Additionally, it has been made lightweight to prevent fatigue even during long periods of use, with features designed to help players stay focused on the game world. By simply connecting it to a smartphone or handheld gaming console, users can experience a massive screen appearing right before their eyes.
While AR (Augmented Reality) technology is currently evolving rapidly, products with high performance such as 240Hz are still rare, garnering significant attention within the gaming industry. This joint development is expected to be an important step toward popularizing AR technology as a more accessible form of entertainment.
The arrival of the "ROG XREAL R1" may significantly change the way games are played in the future. This new device, which combines high-quality visuals with portability, is likely to become an attractive option for many gamers.
