Morocco resumes acceptance of tourist visa applications for Taiwan citizens
Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the Moroccan government has resumed accepting visa applications (VCL) for Taiwanese citizens traveling for tourism purposes. While this process had been temporarily suspended, it has been confirmed that applications have been possible once again since the 21st.
Previously, holders of Taiwan passports were required to apply for a visa in advance to visit Morocco for tourism. However, due to a situation where applications were not being accepted for various reasons, the Taiwanese side had been considering how to respond.
This resumption was brought to light through inquiries made to the Embassy of Morocco in Japan. When officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the situation on the 25th, they found that the application process for tourism purposes is now proceeding as it did before.
This news is important information for those planning trips from Taiwan to Morocco. Those planning to travel are advised to check the latest visa application rules and required documentation on the embassy's official website or through other official channels.
It is hoped that travel between the two countries will become smoother in the future. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs intends to continue monitoring the responses of various countries to ensure that overseas travel for Taiwanese citizens can proceed smoothly.
