Supporting Women in Athletics! JAAF Opens Applications for Coaching Clinic
The Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) has begun accepting applications for a new program designed to cultivate female coaches, titled "JAAF Coaching Clinic W (Double) – Produce Your Shining Self." This program aims to support women who wish to play an active role in the field of athletics.
The clinic is primarily aimed at women who are already active as coaches, as well as those who are interested in taking on the challenge of coaching athletics in the future. Participants will not only learn technical coaching methods for track and field but will also have the opportunity to reflect on "self-production"—how to build their own unique careers.
Currently, the low number of female coaches remains a challenge in the Japanese sporting world. Through this training, JAAF hopes to create an environment where women can exercise leadership with confidence. Furthermore, it will serve as a valuable opportunity for like-minded women to build professional networks.
This initiative, leading up to the 2026 fiscal year, is expected to bring new perspectives and vitality to the Japanese athletics community. It represents a major opportunity for women who want to not only deepen their specialized knowledge but also expand their personal potential.
Interested individuals can find more details and apply through the official JAAF website. These new challenges undertaken by women are sure to further enrich the future of sports in Japan.
