Ibaraki Prefecture and SoftBank Sign Comprehensive Partnership Agreement to Promote Regional Revitalization through DX
Ibaraki Prefecture announced on the 25th that it has concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement with SoftBank Corp. This agreement aims to promote operational improvements within the prefecture and revitalize local communities by leveraging digital transformation (DX).
Through this collaboration, both parties aim to introduce the latest digital technologies to increase the efficiency of administrative services and local industries. Specifically, the plan is to utilize AI and telecommunications technology to create an environment where residents can access services more conveniently.
In addition, Ibaraki Prefecture plans to focus on developing digital talent. By sharing the specialized knowledge and know-how possessed by SoftBank, the prefecture intends to accelerate the resolution of issues facing the local community.
Digitalization is one of the critical challenges for regions facing population decline and an aging society. With this agreement as a starting point, Ibaraki Prefecture states that it will further advance DX across the entire prefecture and work toward building a sustainable region.
