The difference in fuel prices in the Netherlands exceeds 27 euros when filling the fuel tank.
Drivers in the Netherlands may face a difference of more than 27 euros when filling up a full tank of fuel, according to research conducted by the comparison platform "Independer".
It has been revealed that the highest price for gasoline currently is 2.259 euros per liter, while the cheapest reaches 1.708 euros, representing a difference of more than 55 cents per liter. When calculated for a tank with a capacity of 50 liters, the difference amounts to 27.55 euros between the most expensive and the cheapest station in the country.
Michel Eipma from "Independer" said: "Driving to the other side of the country for cheaper fuel is rarely worthwhile, but you can still save a significant amount in your area if you choose a station with reasonable prices."
The highest savings rates were recorded in the province of Overijssel, where drivers can save €26.55 by choosing the cheapest station. In Drenthe, the difference was €26.50, while even in Flevoland, where the differences were the smallest, savings of up to €20 per tank can be achieved.
There have been significant differences at the local level, in the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân in the province of Friesland, drivers can save up to 48 cents per liter when refueling at the cheapest station, which amounts to 24.10 euros per tank. Ibma advised drivers to plan ahead before refueling, especially with the summer holiday season approaching.
