Malaysia's Medical Device Sector Records RM34.5 Billion in Exports
Malaysia continues to strengthen its position as a major hub in the global medical technology (MedTech) industry. In 2025, the country recorded an impressive medical device export value of RM34.54 billion.
This success is supported by the approval of RM4 billion in investments for 46 new projects in the sector. These investments are expected to stimulate the country's economic growth and increase the value-added in the local manufacturing industry.
In addition to contributing to national revenue, these projects also provide significant benefits to the job market. A total of 3,393 new job opportunities have been created, providing space for the local skilled workforce to engage in the high-tech industry.
The government is now focused on attracting more high-quality investments to ensure Malaysia remains competitive at the international level. This step is crucial to ensure that the medical device sector continues to be a key driver of the country's economic growth in the future.
